Look at it before you believe it

Nothing here is photographed. Every piece in this capsule is drawn from the same croquis the cutting room works to, which means what you are looking at is the garment's construction, not a picture of it in good light.

No. 01 — The Ulster

Woven undyed, then dyed as finished cloth. The colour sits in the wool rather than on it, so the coat wears to a patina instead of a shine.
Double-breasted, cut so the top four are structural and the bottom two do the work. Horn, sewn with a shank so the cloth is never pulled flat.
Embroidered directly into the body cloth in gold thread. It is the one mark that does not change between the two colorways.
Side seams are laid open and felled by hand so the coat keeps moving with the shoulder. Lined to the waist only — the rest is finished cloth.
Deep enough to sit down in without the skirt of the coat fighting you. The vent is stitched closed for shipping and clipped once.

Capsule 01

Ten pieces, cut in claret and in vicuña. Change the colorway and the whole capsule changes with it — the crest is the only thing that stays gold.
